Our Bullitt Mustang built was a two year project in the making with a three
generations car enthusiasts who put great detail and lots of time. Our
three car builders ranged from a young three year old to a father and very
young grandfather who made sure not one single detail went unfinished.
This magnificent car does not have one bit of rust every screw has been
detailed or replaced, every nook or cranny in mint condition, a real
beauty. This has been our fifth Mustang project, next is a boss 302 and 55
chevy custom.
This Mustang has been restored as
close to Steve McQueen's Mustang as possible. The restoration project has been
recently completed. Dupont paint is the original Dark Highland Green. The drive
train is a 390 engine that has been completely overhauled to original
specifications. The 4speed top loader transmission is tied to a 9 in.
positrac differential. Disc brakes on all four wheels gives this replica
excellent stopping capability.
Original Torque Thrust D mags with 15 inch BF Goodrich wheels give this Mustang a
strong stance. Dual Flowmaster 2 1/2 in. exhaust system gives the car the same
throaty sound as heard in the chase scene in San Francisco. Easy handling due to
the available power steering. The undercarriage has been restored to exact
factory specifications. Red Oxide primer completely covers the underneath with
the green underside over spray. The deluxe interior has been completely redone
to complement the fold down seat option and wood grain dash.
