Hej
let's burn rubber

Good friends welcome - IRS specialist Mats Johansson on right and a founder of the swedisch Mustang Club- Tord Jonsson, today editor

Having a Bullitt in your rear view still makes guys nervous, even swedish ones.

Mats ...buckling up in the Bill Hickmann style

After a few "pedal-to-the-metal-actions" Mats got cool enough to catch up with the Bullitt.

Sitting behind the wheel of a BULLITT puts any Mustanger into COOL MODE, even the editor of this site.

Reliving the 60ies past is a simple adventure in Sweden, if you just open your eyes a bit more, call a few friends and visit a few hot spots

Mats G. Johansson and Tord Jonsson made my day, when being for a short business trip in Sweden. Soon after touching down on Saturday and checking out the location we were going to invade with a special inhouse show at a customer, business development manager Mats showed up and welcomed another Mustang enthusiast of the southern Mustang-Hemisphere.
Our customer is a worldwide known enterprise and  does its own Racing Day, since there are enough enthusiasts in that company, so it occurred that I was already in a Hot Spot. One of the company guys even had a white BOSS 429 for sale with low mileage. Those looking for one, here is an opportunity, of course in the six-digit level.

Mats helped me a year or so ago to find the tidbits of the swedish IRS-Mustang (ex Don Chambers car). BTW, I've just heard that Don past away earlier this year, we are with his family, which has been in touch with Ponysite more than once.

Cruising in Mats 65 289 Hardtop and spinning a wheel in Tords 2001 Bullitt we went to the Malmö Drag Strip...

....and since I have no time to continue this story and our club mag has the full story first, you'll have to wait for another week and another week to hear the rest, sorrry.

But at least you can have a look at a few more nice shots in the meantime

Almost like in the past except for the BMW in the background. You can even rent an automatics dragster for 60 Euro up here, each run is only 2 Euro plus 10 Euro one-time inspection. A true enthusiast sports run by voluntary enthusiasts.

This site will be updated a.s.a.p. with more info..
