Mustang Day 2000
Mustang Club de France

Racing Mustangs is fun pure...

This year the Mustang Day 2000 took place at the "Circuit de Mornay" near Bonnat (Creuse) right in the center of France on Sunday, September 17th.
A wonderful place in Limousin : a 3 km long and 10 meters wide asphalt track surrounded by a large estate including a very nice club house, open since 1997.

For those, who chose to come as from Saturday, everybody met in the afternoon at the hotel cleaning and discussing around the cars (about 40 Mustangs already). For those, who had brought their swimsuit, they could enjoy the hot water of the inside swimming pool and even a jacuzzy. In the evening a friendly dinner gathered some 80 people.

On this very sunny Sunday morning about 60 Mustangs met at Mornay. Everybody was eager to drive on the circuit, as this is now the tradition since 10 years.
These are not official races but "cruising for the fun" with about 10/12 cars per series starting behind a pace car and organized in low or quick series, including a "ladies" series. By the end of the afternoon trophies were distributed, including this year a public vote to elect the 3 most beautiful cars of the meeting. The best of show was attributed to a '65 silver frost and red interior convertible, the second place to our grabber green '70 Mach 1 and the third to a '65 Wimbledon white with red Le Mans stripes Fastback.

The beautiful weather we had all day long, contributed to the great success of this day.
