Jordi and his wife Pili enjoy cruising around in spanish nights in their winter blue 428 Cobra Jet GT.

This is a picture of how the car was delivered from the french wrecking yard. Another car had been stored above this 428CJ and the fluids dripping down had taken their toll on the top and the paint.

Hood-lock-delete option is written on the Marti report

The Deluxe-Interior features also the Ruffino seat cover, Jordi added a CD-changer in the trunk with a modern CD-radio tuner in a classic style up front

Being an original export car makes it almost unique

This is Jordi Fustés proud after 4 years of meticulous restoration. In a modern father-son project this car is basically a frame-off restoration, where any nut and bolt was carefully disassembled and finally pieced together with a lot of patience and care. Jordis father with the same name Jordi gets all the credit for most of the work, which he did in his mechanic workshop.
This rare R-code (9T03R179xxx) was originally an export to France and being one of only 71 R-code convertibles, or one of only 13 R-code GT convertibles, certainly ads an "uniqueness-factor" to this car. Although Jordi knows 4 other 428CJ convertibles in France, there is none known as a GT acc. to our current knowledge in Europe.
Still some of the R-code GT CVs are accounted for acc. to Bobby Spedale, a long time Mustanger, who owns a red onel.
The sad remainders of this car came to Spain with a truck, brought into the country in the 90ies by a spanish guy, who brought the car to Jordis father for some restoration work.
Some time later, he suddenly needed money for another project and traded this "project car" to the Fusté family.
4 years later in 2004 - after the original engine had been completely disassembled and assembled as well - and a fresh paint job in the original colour paint mix of Winter blue  (P-code), the Cobra Jet saw the light again. Since the restoration only 400 miles had been added (or exactly 668km). The engine runs very smooth and the Deluxe-Interior plus a lot of other options make this car a real nice, but almost unique cruiser for spanish nights.

The automatic shifter operates a C6 and a 3.50 Detroit locker rear end.

Not only the 428 Cobra Jet was completely dismantled and rebuilt in the professional workshop of Jordis father

Thanks for the invitation in Spain to Jordi and Pili.
