Ray Bonthrons 70 T/A Boss as it appeared at the Grand Bahama Vintage Grand Prix

The Grand Bahamas Grand Prix 1987 was one of the SVRA events open to vintage racing machines build and road raced between 1950 and 1972.
Ray Bonthron brought his car from Illionois, where he is apparently located. If anybody knows about this car today, please let us know.

According to an article in Mustang Monthly Sept. 1987 this car was a former SCCA club racer. It features Corbeau bucket seats and a four-point safety cage, that has been added by Ray.
The original BOSS engine has been replaced by a slightly more powerful BOSS version that keeps the rear tires melting through a toploader transmission and a 4,65:1 locker rear end. Wilwood NASCAR discs and calipers on all four wheels give the driver a bit more trust in braking ability.
