1 of only 503 Limited Edition 600 Mustangs

Don Hughmanick is the proud owner of this rare promotional Mustang in Flower Power Red.
Built on 21/22. April 1969 with a DSO of 162783-162788, exactly 503 were built for a special dealer promotion up in Philadelphia. Although 600 were planned and advertised, the actual sales fell short of the targeted number. Morgan Ford in Medford/NJ played an important role and had 180 Limited 600 Mustangs alone on the spot, as you can see in the aerial view from April 26, 1969.
Flower Power red and Groovy Green were the outstanding promo colours, while the engine equipment was rather moderate with most being built with a Six-inline and some with a maximum engine of a 351-2V. The promotion was obviously of the 'Special Low Price' variety. All Ltd. 600 have the "Sports Appearance Group" package, that describes a lot of the unique Ltd. 600 features.
Don Hughmanick has reasearched the history of this special breed over 21 years, got some more accurate numbers from Kevin Marti (www.martiauto.com) and original stuff from Allan Cross (www.fomoco.com) and just recently in 2002 opened up his website with lots of additional details, that he got from genuine Ford people as well as George Morgan himself, the main dealer and promoter of that time.
Advertisements were part of the promotion and are a further proof to the little known history of these Mustangs.
