"David Kunz's Bullitt Replica in Fast Lane TV episode"

David was invited by the new US TV series "Fast Lane" to be part of a nice story in episode No. 3.

David Kunz has recently made some 'significant changes' to his replica to get it even closer to the original. Die-hard Bullitt fans will notice the Nardi wheel with the Shelby horn button and the hand-stitched leather like the original. Back then it was done by Tony Nancy. Other changes are more subtle like the exhaust system and other not visible items.

"The premise is that the squad (a fictitous LAPD unit that gets to play with a bunch of cool cars and motorcycles that they've seized) gets ahold of the actual Mustang that McQueen drove in Bullitt. In the opening of the show, Tiffani Theissen spends a little time caressing the car as a prized possesion. The two guys who work under her then swipe the car and get involved in all matter of mayhem.
Some few more lines with these pics from David:
First, the car (mine) is in the "Candy Store" the headquarters for the LAPD unit dramatized in the show.
Then, the two stars steal the car and head into downtown L.A. on the 4th street bridge.
After getting stopped by a large truck (now it's the stunt car), they are jumped over by the motorcycles, the LAPD bike crashes into the rear window, the car is shot upon by machine guns, and they get into a wreck.
Needless to say, this gets them into BIG trouble with the boss!
In a later scene (which I wasn't on hand for) we see the destroyed Bullitt Mustang back in the Candy Store.
