The History of one of four  1966 Shelby Convertibles - 6S2375

Delivered in green with a white top. Used as test car, later sold to Hayward Ford. Used as pace car in some SCCA races.

Purchased by Derek Scott, who sandblasted it, painted it white, later blue.
 
Later owned by Joe Wallace from 1973 on.

Acc. to a report by Jim G. the green 66 convertible was in mint condition around 2005 or so owned by Clifford Hornback in Vinita/OK.

After he fully restored the car it was placed in storage at an undisclosed location along with his red 1967 or 1968  GT350#1198. 


The car was featured in a special Hot Rod issue on Mustangs.

Cliff Hornback has shared company with Carroll Shelby many  years in the past having the opportunity to take a photo of Carroll beside the 1966 green convertible he owned until 2012. 


Reported to be sold late 2012/early 2013 to
John Atzbach.

Update July 2020 -
Along the sale of the John Atzbach collection, 6S2375 got sold at the Mecum Auction in Indy for 1.100.000 Dollar.
