1966 Shelby Group 2 #16

The History of the Shelby T/A no. 16

This car has been a mystery for years with little publication. It has been found after 40 years and is now a topic of the SAAC forum.

Reportedly it was sold to a Shelby employee and driven to Holman Moody in Charlotte/NC. Lee Holman remembers it sitting in their shop. He told me that story as well last year when I visited him during the 50th Anniversary.

Wayne Bard from Florida bought it from their used car lot in July 1967. It has been garaged soon after and was obviously sold in early 2015.

We hope the new owner decided to allow us some more insight into the car.
